Excellent Dan, it is true that many cleaning companies will take all the accounts they can get, even it is far away or not really their specialty or profit margins, take it anyway because they want more business. I could have all the business I wanted but not at the price my competitors want to do it for. So I single myself out of the competition, stick to high price cleaning and pay a higher wage premium to my employees as the pay off.

It is true, you shouldn’t always stick to the same format of social media because you can’t always depend on it, especially Craigslist, I never place anything there. The important thing is market your business where customers are willing to pay more than dirt cheap cleaning companies.

The big problem is, consumers are misinformed on cleaning companies, and they don’t know the price to pay but just hire whoever. Rules such as amending new legislation in each State to place janitorial cleaning licenses than versing just an ordinary fictitious business license, which does nothing to the inexperience cleaning company owner or the consumer on who to hire and trust in your office.

That’s why I suggest every State place a mandatory cleaning license requirement, so consumers can be aware of a license cleaning company is supposed to do and not do. Measure each facility, layout out all the labor fees, insurance and etc information so there is no secret cleaning company giving trash & bids and no performing professional cleaning contracts.

To me that is my honest view to straighten out the cleaning industry is to fix it at the top so everybody follows the same format.
